Spacing depends on handrail material, profile, length, expected load and local requirements. Secure structural fixing is more important than purely visual spacing.

Oak, ash, pine and mahogany create different visual expressions. The surface can be left untreated or finished with oil, hardwax oil or lacquer depending on the product.
